TELSICAP-CL combines Telmisartan (40 mg) and Cilnidipine (10 mg) in a unique antihypertensive formulation, designed to effectively manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and protect against cardiovascular risks. Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), helps relax blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker (CCB), reduces calcium influx in blood vessel walls, further aiding blood vessel relaxation and lowering blood pressure. This dual action provides effective control over blood pressure and lowers cardiovascular risk. TELSICAP-CL is available in tablet form with 10x10 ALU-ALU packaging.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Telmisartan, an ARB, selectively blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels, causing blood pressure to rise. By inhibiting this hormone, Telmisartan promotes vasodilation and lowers blood pressure. Cilnidipine, a dual L/N-type calcium channel blocker, prevents calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, further promoting vessel relaxation and reducing blood pressure. ADMINISTRATION OF DOSES
