Pantoprazole reduces the acid in the stomach, thus, relieving acid-related indigestion and heartburn. The two medications Domperidone and Pantoprazole are combined as Domperidone + Pantoprazole. To increase the movement of the stomach and intestines and facilitate easier passage of food through the stomach, the prokinetic drug Domperidone acts on the upper digestive tract. Indications
GIVPEP DSR: Pantoprazole 40 mg + Domperidone 30 mg (Sustained Release) CAPSULE is indicated for the treatment of heartburn, acid reflux, and peptic ulcer disease. Pantoprazole is used to treat damage to the esophagus from stomach acid caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease, GERD). Pantoprazole + Domperidone is given for up to eight weeks at a time while your esophagus heals.Administration of Dose
A single dose of once a day is recommended GIVPEP DSR: Pantoprazole 40 mg + Domperidone 30 mg (Sustained Release) CAPSULE. GIVPEP DSR: Pantoprazole 40 mg + Domperidone 30 mg (Sustained Release) CAPSULE are taken by mouth, with or without food. The patient's age, gender, and medical history all affect the dosage and length of treatment. Long-term treatment with GIVPEP DSR: Pantoprazole 40 mg + Domperidone 30 mg (Sustained Release) CAPSULE may make you absorb B-12, resulting in a deficiency of this vitamin. If you have a vitamin B-12 deficit and need long-term treatment, speak with your treating physician. This antacid may result in renal damage. Notify the attending physician if your frequency of urination is reduced or if you notice any blood in your urine. This medicine should not be used if you suffer from breathing problems, kidney problems, or allergic reactions after taking GIVPEP DSR: Pantoprazole 40 mg + Domperidone 30 mg (Sustained Release) CAPSULE.
