Mometasone is a member of the corticosteroid family. This medicine is anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, and inhibits cell growth. HOW DOES IT WORK?
Two medications makeup - FEZIGRIP-M with composition Mometasone (corticosteroid) and Fusidic acid( an antibiotic for one or more hair follicles. Mometasone prevents the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are chemical messengers that cause swelling, itching, and redness in the affected area. INDICATION
Combining the two drugs Mometasone and Fusidic Acid, which both treat skin infections, creates Mometasone + Fusidic Acid. A steroid medication is Mometasone. ADMINISTRATION OF DOSE
Your treating doctor will recommend the appropriate dose that is suitable for your infection.Cream/gel/ointment: It is only for external use. Take a small amount of gel/cream/ointment on the fingertip and apply a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area as prescribed & directed by your Dermatologist. Avoid contact with this medicine with your nose, mouth or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly.
SIDE EFFECT
FEZIGRIP-M:Fusidic Acid IP + Mometasone has side effects like itching, dryness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. These symptoms normally do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if you face any other symptoms or the side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.
PRECAUTIONS
If you have any allergic reactions to FEZIGRIP-M:Fusidic Acid IP + Mometasone or any other medications, please inform your treating doctor. The combination is not recommended for diaper rash. Mometasone may increase the risk of infection in patients exposed to viral illnesses like chickenpox or measles. This medicine may not be applied on sensitive areas like nostrils, ears, lips or genitals without the guidance and advice of your treating doctor.
