How Does It Work?
AMALCAP-O is a combination of three medications that is Magaldrate, Simethicone, and Oxetacaine. Magaldrate produces a lasting antacid action by quickly reacting with acid, where it is poorly absorbed. Simethicone is a surfactant that relieves associated indigestion flatulence and reflux. Oxetacaine is a potent local anesthetic. It is administered orally for the relief of pain associated with peptic ulcer disease or esophagitis

AMALCAP-O:Magaldrate Anhydrous 480 mg + Simethicone 20 mg + Oxetacaine 10 mg is indicated in the management and treatment of symptoms of Gastritis, Hyperacidity, GERD, and Dyspepsia. This syrup also overcomes spasms during menstruation generally known as uncomfortable days for women.
Administration Of Dose
The patient's age, gender, and medical history will determine the proper Magaldrate + Simethicone + Oxetacaine dosage. The appropriate dosage is also determined by the route of delivery and specific symptoms. The general dose of 5 ml is given thrice a day but ultimately it is your treating doctor who will finally decide your dosage of AMALCAP-O.
Side Effects
Some of the patients may feel side effects like stomach pain, nausea or vomiting, weight loss, loss of appetite, and constipation. Consult your treating doctor if these or any of them persist for a long time.
Precautions
Avoid drinking anything after taking this medicine since doing so might decrease its efficacy. An hour before or an hour after taking this medication, avoid taking antacids.It could result in constipation. Eat more foods high in fiber and drink lots of water. If it worsens or does not go away, brief your doctor. It might make you queasy. If you experience any symptoms of appendicitis, such as lower abdomen pain, cramps, bloating, nausea, or vomiting, consult your treating doctor. It can take up to four to six weeks for the ulcers to completely heal. Take the medicine as directed unless your doctor tells you differently.
