VOMICAP INJ: Ondansetron 2 mg INJECTION 2 ML AMP. is used as an injectable. It contains an antiemetic to trap relief. Ondansetron 2mg Injection is beneficial for overcoming the symptoms of nausea and vomiting that result from surgery during cancer chemotherapy. Ondansetron is in a class of drugs called serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance that can cause nausea and vomiting.

INDICATIONS
VOMICAP INJ: Ondansetron 2 mg INJECTION belongs to the class of selective serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonists. This injection is effective for controlling nausea and vomiting induced by cisplatin treatment. It is more effective than metoclopramide in preventing acute nausea and vomiting. VOMICAP INJ: Ondansetron 2 mg INJECTION is well tolerated with a lower incidence of sedation compared to conventional antiemetics.
ADMINISTRATION OF DOSE
In a hospital or clinic, a healthcare professional will give you an injection of ondansetron intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). Ondansetron is usually given 30 minutes before starting chemotherapy to reduce nausea and vomiting caused by the medication. If necessary, additional doses of ondansetron may be given 4 hours and 8 hours after the initial dose. Ondansetron is typically given just before surgery to reduce postoperative nausea and vomiting. Patients who did not receive ondansetron before surgery but experience nausea and vomiting may receive it afterwards.
