CEDOBACT DOUBLE STRENGTH contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100 mg available as Dry Syrup in a pack of HDPE 30 ml. This is prescribed by Children’s Specialists. Cefpodoxime Proxetil is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic. It is beneficial in the treatment of bacterial infections covering the eyes, nose, ears, throat, lungs, skin, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. It is also beneficial in the treatment of typhoid fever. CEDOBACT DOUBLE STRENGTH contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil which prevents the protective covering of bacteria in which bacteria develop & grow. Therefore, the growth of bacteria is destroyed by the use of this antibiotic. It gives sustained bacteria-free life to the child.HOW DOES IT WORK?
CEDOBACT DOUBLE STRENGTH contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100 mg contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil prevents the protective covering of bacteria in which bacteria grow. Therefore, the growth of infectious bacteria is hindered and killed by the use of this antibiotic. Penicillin-like antibiotics include Amoxicillin. Amoxicillin is combined with clavulanic acid to make it more effective against particular bacteria. To treat these illnesses, Amoxycillin and clavulanic acid kill the bacteria that result in them. Since viruses are the cause of viral infections like the flu and colds, they will not be effective against them.BENEFITS

It provides an effective alternative for the treatment of typhoid fever in children in the case of multi-drug-resistant S. Typhi. It ensures a better safety profile and excellent tolerability.ADMINISTRATION OF DOSE
The dose recommendation is thrice a day. However, the treating doctor will decide the dose and duration after considering other aspects of the patient like age, gender, severity, etc.SIDE EFFECTS
The common side effects of CEDOBACT DOUBLE STRENGTH containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100 mg are nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and skin rash. Consult the Physician immediately if these side effects persist or worsen. Before giving this medicine to your child, inform the treating doctor if your child is allergic to any antibiotics or has experienced any allergic reactions after taking antibiotics.PRECAUTIONS
Please tell the doctor if you are allergic to amoxicillin (Amoxil, Trimox, Wymox), clavulanic acid, penicillin, cephalosporins, other drugs, or any of the substances in amoxicillin and clavulanic acid preparations. Inform the doctor about all prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, dietary supplements, and herbal products the patient is taking. Make sure you include either of the following: warfarin, probenecid, or allopurinol (Aloprim, Lopurin, or Zyloprim) (Coumadin, Jantoven). It may be necessary for your physician to adjust the dosage of your medications or monitor your side effects closely.
