HOW DOES IT WORK?
Moxifloxacin eradicates ocular pathogenic bacteria by bacterial action. It offers greater efficacy against resistant bacteria than conventional antibiotics. Dexamethasone is a synthetic topical corticosteroid. It inhibits the synthesis of inflammatory mediators-Prostaglandins. It helps to relieve symptoms of inflammation: redness, soreness & swelling. It is a highly potent & long-acting corticosteroid. It has seven times greater anti-inflammatory potency than prednisolone. Two medications, Moxifloxacin and Dexamethasone, are combined as Moxifloxacin + Dexamethasone. An antibiotic called moxifloxacin stops bacterial cells from dividing and mending, which kills the germs. This gets rid of the illness. Dexamethasone, a steroid, prevents the creation of specific chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that result in inflammation, itching, and redness.
