It works by inhibiting the activity of the DNA gyrase enzyme found in bacteria. This combination of medications when used together works as a topical bactericidal antibiotic. It eradicates aerobic gram-negative pathogenic bacteria and offers greater effectiveness against bacterial pathogens that are resistant to aminoglycoside, macrolide, and tetracycline antibiotics. INDICATIONS

It is often given two to four times a day for five days, then every two hours while awake for two days (up to eight times a day). Apply gatifloxacin eye drops at about the same time each day.SIDE EFFECTS
