HOW DOES IT WORK?
The function of benzalkonium chloride as a preservative is to stop the development of dangerous microorganisms. As a result, the shelf life of medicines is extended. The antibiotic is gatifloxacin. It works by inhibiting the activity of the DNA gyrase enzyme found in bacteria. This combination of medications when used together works as a topical bactericidal antibiotic. It eradicates aerobic gram-negative pathogenic bacteria and offers greater effectiveness against bacterial pathogens that are resistant to aminoglycoside, macrolide, and tetracycline antibiotics. It achieves a higher concentration in ocular tissue than Ciprofloxacin. This eye drops exhibit a high killing rate.

INDICATIONS
Bacterial conjunctivitis, often known as pinkeye (an infection of the membrane covering the outside of the eyeballs and the inside of the eyelids), is treated in adults and children aged one year and older with gatifloxacin ophthalmic solution. Gatifloxacin belongs to the group of fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It works by killing the germs that cause infection.
ADMINISTRATION OF DOSE
It is often given two to four times a day for five days, then every two hours while awake for two days (up to eight times a day). Apply gatifloxacin eye drops at about the same time each day.
SIDE EFFECTS
Patients using QUINOGET: Gatifloxacin 0.3% +Benzalkonium Chloride-0.02% V/V 5ml (Eye Drops) may experience some side effects like pain in the eyes, irritation, and change of taste. Please talk to your treating specialist if these symptoms or any of these symptoms persist for a longer time.
PRECAUTIONS
Pregnant women should not use QUINOGET: Gatifloxacin 0.3% +Benzalkonium Chloride-0.02% V/V 5ml (Eye Drops) unless prescribed by your eye specialist. There is no side effect of QUINOGET: Gatifloxacin 0.3% +Benzalkonium Chloride-0.02% V/V 5ml (Eye Drops) on the kidney, liver, and heart.
